This policy explains what treq collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the treq website and the treq Android app.

Who we are

treq is a trade intelligence service that helps businesses find buyers, suppliers and HS codes. Contact us at support@treq-ai.com.

What we collect

Email address	To create your account, sign you in, and send verification codes.
Phone number (optional)	To send verification codes by WhatsApp, if you choose that method.
Name, company, country, role	Supplied at sign-up to set up your account.
Your searches and viewed companies	To show your Profile Views and Contacts, and to apply plan limits.
Saved contacts and groups	The lists you build inside the product.
Credit balance and usage	To meter your plan fairly and show what you have spent.
Chat messages you send	To answer your query and to keep your chat history.

Payment information

Payments are handled by a licensed third-party payment processor. Your card, UPI or netbanking details are entered on the processor's own secure checkout and are never sent to, stored on, or visible to treq's servers. We receive only the payment reference and whether it succeeded.

Service providers we share data with

We use a small number of specialist providers to operate treq. Each receives only what is needed for that task, and none may use your data for their own purposes.

• Payment processing — to take payment and confirm it.
• Messaging — to deliver verification codes to WhatsApp.
• Email delivery — to send verification codes and account notices.
• Trade data — we pass your search terms (product, HS code, country) to retrieve results. We do not pass your identity with them.
• AI processing — chat messages are processed to generate replies.

If you need the identity of a specific provider — for example for your own compliance or data-protection records — email us and we will tell you.

Permissions on the Android app

• Internet — required to reach treq's servers.
• Microphone — used only when you tap the microphone button to dictate a message. Audio is handled by your device's own speech recognition; treq does not record or store audio.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account exists. Chat history, profile views and saved contacts are kept so they are there when you return. Delete your account and we remove your personal data, other than records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes.

Your choices

• Ask for a copy of your data.
• Ask us to correct anything wrong.
• Ask us to delete your account and data.
• Withdraw consent for WhatsApp codes by removing your phone number.

Security

Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes — they cannot be read back by anyone, including us. If you forget yours, we reset it rather than retrieve it.

Children

treq is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
